HISTAMINE GENE PROGRAM
Stop Guessing About Food Reactions. Let Your Genes Help Connect the Dots.
personalized nutrition based on your genes
Are “Healthy” Foods Suddenly Making You Feel Worse?
A low-histamine diet may help reduce symptoms, but it cannot tell you why your tolerance changed in the first place.
For many women over 40, food reactions are influenced by much more than histamine in food. Hormone shifts, gut health, inflammation, nutrient metabolism, stress response, and genetic variations can all affect how the body responds to food.
The Histamine Gene Program is a personalized nutrition program for women who want to understand the patterns behind their symptoms and receive a practical plan based on their genetic results, health history, diet, and relevant biomarkers.
Instead of trying another restrictive diet or collecting more supplements, you will learn what your body may need—and what may be working against it.
You may be eating carefully and still experience symptoms such as:
- Bloating, digestive discomfort, constipation, or diarrhea
- Headaches, migraines, or brain fog
- Skin rashes, itching, flushing, or autoimmune flares
- Anxiety, poor stress tolerance, or feeling overstimulated
- Difficulty falling asleep or waking during the night
- Reactions that become worse around perimenopause or menopause
- Increasing sensitivity to foods, supplements, medications, or alcohol
Perhaps you have already tried low-histamine, gluten-free, dairy-free, low FODMAP, low oxalate, or another elimination diet.
Some changes may have helped, but your list of “safe” foods keeps getting smaller.
That is often a sign that it is time to look beyond another food list.
stop guessing about food reactions
Histamine Intolerance Is Rarely Just About Histamine
DAO and HNMT are important histamine-related genes, but they are only part of the story.
Your ability to tolerate food may also be influenced by genetic pathways involved in:
- Gut health and the intestinal microbiome
- Inflammation and immune regulation
- Estrogen metabolism and hormone balance
- Methylation and B-vitamin needs
- Stress response and nervous-system regulation
- Antioxidant protection and detoxification
- Nutrient absorption and metabolism
Genomic testing helps identify potential areas of vulnerability. Your results do not diagnose a condition or determine your destiny.
They provide signposts that help us make more informed decisions about your food, nutrients, lifestyle, supplements, and appropriate laboratory testing.
The Missing Link Between Your Genes, Gut, and Food Reactions
A genetic variation does not automatically cause histamine intolerance. Your symptoms develop through the interaction between your genes and your current environment.
Hormonal changes may increase histamine activity. Gut inflammation may reduce DAO activity. Poor sleep and chronic stress may increase immune activation. Nutrient deficiencies can make important biochemical pathways less efficient.
This is why two women can eat the same food and have completely different responses.
Your genomic results help us explore why your body may be reacting and which areas deserve the most attention.

what you will learn
Working together, you will finally get down to the root cause of your histamine intolerance .
How Well Do You Manage Inflammation?
Chronic inflammation can drive histamine release—and your genes play a major role. For instance, variants in key inflammation genes may increase your need for nutrients like omega-3s. The good news? These imbalances are highly responsive to nutrition and lifestyle changes. With the right gene-informed plan, you can calm inflammation naturally and better support your immune system and histamine pathways.
Gut Genes & DAO Enzyme Connection
Gut health and histamine tolerance are deeply connected. Certain gene variants, like FUT2, can affect your microbiome and reduce DAO enzyme production—the critical enzyme that clears histamine. Discovering whether you carry gut-impacting genes can help you choose the best nutrition approach, pinpoint food sensitivities like gluten, and select the most effective probiotics to support a healthy gut and lower histamine.
Hormones, Estrogen & Histamine
Hormone and histamine imbalances often go hand-in-hand—and your genes can reveal why. Variants in detox genes may slow estrogen clearance, leading to excess estrogen and elevated histamine. By understanding your genes that regulate hormone metabolism, you can take steps to support estrogen detox, balance hormones naturally, and improve symptoms such as PMS, fatigue, or migraines stemming from histamine overload.
Mood Genes, Anxiety & Histamine
Struggling with anxiety? It may be more than just emotional—histamine acts as a brain chemical, and your genes can influence how you respond to stress. Variants in mood-related genes like COMT affect how your brain handles stress, hormones, and even histamine. Genomic insights help you fine-tune supplements, diet, and lifestyle to support a calmer, more balanced nervous system.
Personalized Diet & MTHFR Gene
Not every trendy diet is right for your body—especially when histamine is involved. A vegan or carnivore diet might help or make symptoms worse. Even on a vegetarian diet, you may need extra support, such as B12, particularly if you have MTHFR variants. Your genetic blueprint can guide your best dietary choices and show which supplements to take to meet your body’s needs and effectively reduce histamine symptoms.
Lab Testing & Finding Root Causes
Do your labs always come back “normal” even though you feel off? Standard tests often miss deeper imbalances. Genomic testing helps you identify which advanced tests—like hormone panels or microbiome analysis—are actually worth your time and money. You’ll get a roadmap for uncovering root causes of
