Do my genes prove that I have histamine intolerance?
No. Genomic testing identifies tendencies and potential pathway vulnerabilities. Your health history, symptoms, diet, environment, hormones, gut health, and biomarkers help us understand whether those tendencies may be affecting you.
Will this tell me exactly which foods I can eat?
Genomic testing cannot create a permanent yes-or-no food list. It can help us understand pathways that may contribute to your reactions and develop a more appropriate nutrition strategy.
Your personalized plan will also consider your current symptoms, food history, tolerance, nutrient needs, and lifestyle.
Will I ever need to retake the genetic test?
No. Your DNA does not change, so you will not need to submit another sample. As 3X4 Genetics adds genes and updates its reporting, your existing genetic data may be used to generate an updated report. Because these changes can affect your highest-impact pathways, you may purchase a brief report update and consultation to review any new findings and determine whether they change your recommendations.
Do I have to stop taking medications or supplements?
No. Do not discontinue prescribed medication unless instructed by your prescribing healthcare provider. We will review your current medications and supplements as part of your evaluation.
Will I need additional laboratory testing?
Not everyone needs extensive testing. Your genomic report and health history will help us identify which biomarkers, if any, are most relevant. Existing recent laboratory results will be reviewed whenever appropriate to avoid unnecessary duplication.
Is this a gut-healing program?
